We exist to emotionally strengthen the local church through individual and group counseling resources that promote and build awareness, growth, healing, and community.
May the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and the steadfastness of Christ. - 2 Thessalonians 3: 5

We are a team of therapists who are deeply committed to our clinical practice and the tools we use. We offer counseling services for individuals, couples, families and children. We strive to offer the most effective, data-driven care available, ensuring you receive the highest quality support.

Starting therapy can feel exciting, scary, freeing, and risky all at the same time. This is normal, and acknowledging these feelings without letting them dictate direction is part of the beautiful inner work of individual growth.
Therapy is not just for times of dysregulation, but an important part of human emotional and spiritual maturity and development. At Steadfast Christian Counseling, we are excited to guide you on this journey.
Annalise attended The University of Southern Mississippi where she specialized in affect recognition in children with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder. After graduating, she worked in college campus ministry for six years, both at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX, and Belhaven University in Jackson, MS. While working with college students in Dallas, Annalise attended Dallas Theological Seminary and earned a Masters in Counseling, where she counseled clients of all ages at a non-profit counseling center. She now specializes in Child-centered Play Therapy with children of various ages and is passionate about the integration of faith and counseling.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I am committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for my clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I attended the University of Minnesota where I received my BA in Psychology and then The Chicago School of Professional Psychology for my Master’s in Counseling Psychology. I have undergone training in various therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), play therapy, trauma-focused CBT, and mindfulness-based approaches. I currently see children and adolescents with various mental health challenges. In my work, I prioritize building a strong therapeutic relationship with my clients and helping them develop the skills and insights necessary to lead a fulfilling and healthy life. Furthermore, I work closely with parents/guardians and value their participation in the treatment process.
My background working in mental health started during graduate school, where I was able to complete an internship at SOS Children’s Villages of Chicago. I was able to gain experience working with children and adolescents in foster care dealing with various mental health and interpersonal challenges, including, trauma, depression, anxiety, abuse/neglect, and family disruption. When I moved down to South Carolina I transitioned to private practice settings and was able to diversify my counseling skills. I gained significant experience working with trauma, anxiety, depression, OCD, defiant/oppositional behaviors, and ADHD.
Christie is a counselor and Christian author (Book and Blog) passionate about helping others heal and step into their God-given purposes. Her goal is to treat the whole person according to 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24, working from a spiritually integrated Cognitive Behavioral foundation and integrating other counseling techniques according to the clients goals and needs.
Christie works with adult women who find themselves physically, emotionally, or spiritually stuck. This could be due to events(s) in the past or present, broken relationships, destructive habits created over time, and/or negative thinking patterns. It could be due to a lack of appropriate self-care, a deceived perspective, or depressive and anxious symptomatology.
She also work with couples (marital and premarital) seeking to align and connect, reconcile marital discourse, or improve their relationships and roles within the family. The truth is marriage and family are suffering due to brokenness.
John 10:10 says, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” (ESV)
Congratulations on taking a step toward life and healing! Counseling provides a safe space to stop, process, reflect, and problem-solve through life’s difficulties. Christian counseling invites the hope of Christ into that time space.
